Mountain Duck

Mountain Duck Tutorial

Mountain Duck (https://mountainduck.io/) allows you to mount Petabox cloud storage as a disk in Finder on macOS and File Explorer on Windows. And use it the same way you are using Google.Drive, Dropbox: open remote files with any application and work like on a local volume.

First, you need to download Mountain Duck for your platform from the official website: https://mountainduck.io

After downloading and installing the Mountain duck, click the application icon on the status bar and click “Open Connection…” to mount Petabox as a drive.

Attention! Before creating a new connection to Petabox, make at least one bucket in your Petabox account (http://petabox.io/dashboard)

1) - At the top line, select Amazon S3 as the protocol

2) - In the Server section type s3.petabox.io

3) - In the Port section type 443

4) - Put in your Access Key ID and Secret Access Key

After you fill in all necessary fields mentioned above, click the “Connect” button to connect your Petabox account.

Now you should be able to see a new drive called “Petabox” in your Finder (macOS users) or Explorer (Windows users)

After successful authorization, you’ll see your buckets as top-level folders of your mounted drive. Also, creating a new top-level folder makes a bucket in your default geo.
